It's no secret that food deserts exist in poor countries, such as Africa - proclaimed the poorest continent in 2013 - struggle with finding food. Every country has it's set of problems with food deserts. Africa, the United States, and the United Kingdom are three with a high rate of food deserts. Socially, third-world countries aren't usually given help in this situation due to being seen as already lacking food. They seem to receive attention, not much help though. It would take years, but there's a possibility food deserts can become extinct. When an issue goes global, there is more pressure on the leading group to come out victorious each and every time. The pressure is on, but so are the cameras, meaning they're getting worldwide coverage.
